Job 1:21
After I put the children on the bus this morning; I came in to turn on the fish tanks like I always do. While I try not to pick favorites, Sable's open mouth was not waiting to greet me. She was in the far end of the tank floating upside down and dead. I was stunned as she had not been ill and was perfectly fine when I fell asleep about 5 hours earlier. I checked the water parameters and they were perfect and her tank mates are fine.
I'm grateful for the time that she was here with us. Everybody loved her and enjoyed her grace, beauty and wonderful spirit. We're only caretakers of God's creations. They never really belong to us--they always belong to Him. And Sable now has gone back to Him--the great "I am", El Shaddai, the creator of the universe.
Thank you for the time that Sable was entrusted to us. She was not just a fish--she was a marvel of Your Creation.
