Fry June 27, 2007

Here are the fry at a week old. We counted them when they were transferred into the tank and there were 135 of them. (Wendy won the baby pool.) Probably not all survived the first week but there are still lots and lots of fry.

This is a close up of one of the week old babies. The tail has just begun to divide into the double tail of a ryukin.

Above is the fairy pond with our latest babies. I had originally thought only 10-20 but some additional eggs have hatched and my best guestimate is now around 50.

Note the difference in development from the just hatched fry compared to the week old fry in the second photo.
